Inside a Cacao Pod
If you've ever wondered where chocolate comes from, your wait is over. Here are a few images of chocolate in its all natural form; the cacao pod. After opening up the Cacao pod, I couldn't resist tasting the inside pulp. I was surprised to find that it doesn't taste like Chocolate at all. It was actually quite sweet and delicious. Unfortunately, I don't have an english name fruit I can compare it to. It does remind me of a fruit in Puerto Rico called Quenepa.
